Click Networks Qualifies for Government of Canada’s Mobile Threat Detection Supply Arrangement

Ottawa, Canada – February 3, 2025 – Click Networks, a leading Ottawa-based provider of cybersecurity and network management solutions, is proud to announce its successful qualification to the Government of Canada’s (GC) Mobile Threat Detection (MTD) under Shared Services Canada (SSC). The MTD contract will enable Click Networks to provide advanced mobile security solutions, contributing to safeguarding Canada’s digital infrastructure.

SSC has awarded its new Mobile Threat Detection (MTD) Supply Arrangement, marking a significant step forward in safeguarding the GC’s mobile fleet and sensitive data from evolving cyber threats. This initiative is part of SSC’s ongoing commitment to enhancing cybersecurity across the federal government through an integrated security ecosystem.

The MTD Supply Arrangement focuses on protecting mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, against a wide range of threats, including malware, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access. With the growing reliance on mobile technology in government workplaces, MTD has become a key element of SSC’s cybersecurity strategy in support of the Government of Canada Enterprise Cyber Security Strategy, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive government data.

With mobile devices being critical tools in today’s government operations, safeguarding them is no longer optional,” said Ryan Fox, COO, Click Networks. “This initiative ensures we stay ahead of cybercriminals and nation-state actors, addressing threats with advanced MTD technologies tailored to the Government of Canada’s unique needs.”

Click Networks’ MTD strategy is powered by industry-leading solutions: Check Point Harmony Mobile and Lookout Mobile Endpoint Security, which are at the forefront of mobile threat detection and protection. These technologies deliver comprehensive defense against cyber attacks targeting mobile devices, leveraging advanced threat intelligence and machine learning to detect and respond to emerging threats. Their capabilities ensure the GC’s mobile fleet remains secure and resilient in the face of an ever-evolving threat landscape.

The Mobile Threat Detection initiative underscores the GC’s proactive approach to mobile security:

  • Technology-Driven Detection and Response: Advanced tools will identify and mitigate threats targeting Apple iOS and Google Android operating systems.
  • Comprehensive Protection: MTD technologies will integrate seamlessly with the GC’s broader security capabilities, providing defense-in-depth and enhancing the overall resiliency of government networks.
  • Flexibility Through Supply Arrangements: The MTD Supply Arrangements provide the GC with a dynamic procurement vehicle to address ongoing and future mobile security challenges.
